JoeMusic can find no fault with Elliott. American Idol was his opportunity to be seen and heard, knowing full well that this was a competition between Katherine McPhee and Taylor Hicks. The impression is that these are all serviceable songs that were waiting for someone like Elliott to come along and just try to make something out of them. No fault in that, I suppose. But it’s like buying a Wolfgang Puck frozen dinner – not bad, but you aren’t going to mistake it for a meal at his restaurant. JoeMusic gives it a B-
